Planting Seeds of Resourcefulness to Have Enough

Hi, it's Dayna, and I'm here with your divination
for the new moon in Sidereal Capricorn. The

2026 Sidereal Astrology Guide says, planting
seeds of resourcefulness to have enough.

So this is the 2026 Sidereal Astrology Guide.
This is the ninth annual edition of your

personal horoscope workbook. The best thing
about this is you actually need to know nothing

about astrology. I'm the expert. I know all
the things, so I put them in this book for

you. I'll walk you through the personal application
of one year of astrology month by month, transit

by transit, so you can get a personal feel for
what each month and each week brings for you.

I've got some evergreen content in here, such
as all of this dope information about each

of the signs, what their ideal is, what their
task is. And this is a way for you to get started

with sidereal and really begin to understand
what it means for you, not just in the static

sense of what your sign is, but how you are
living this astrology every single day. And

I'm a guide and walk you through it. I posted...
On my Instagram, if you're not following me

on Instagram, I really have no idea what you're
doing with your life, and I need you to get

it together, like, uh quickly. Also, like, as
I'm recording this episode of the podcast,

I'm also live on Instagram. So, I don't really
be knowing when I'm gonna record. um But normally

when I do, I go live on Instagram and not that
many people really be tuning in, but if you

know, you know, if you show up, you show up
and if you're here, I'm very glad you're here.

Okay. But I posted on Instagram last week and
I was saying like, look, the whole sky is about

to shift. Like things are about to move in a
very different sobering direction. And...

I talked about how in 2019 to 2020, so that
transition from like December 2019, January

2020, to like February, March of 2020, is a
very similar and parallel astrological moment

to the one that we're in right now. When we
arrive at this new moon, which is January 18,

2026, the sun and moon, of course, will be together
in Capricorn, because that's what happens at

a new moon. but also Mercury, Venus, and Mars
will also all be in Capricorn. We're gonna

dig into the details of this Wednesday, what's
tomorrow, January 14th, second Wednesday of

the month, the Div for Lib astrology meetup
meets up on Zoom. The link is always in the

description, but y'all don't be reading the
description sometimes, and that's okay. But

we're meeting up tomorrow and we're going to
talk about what all of this means personally

for you and your birth chart going over the
2026 Iderial Astrology Guide for the month

of January. But I want to take a moment and
read all of the interpretations for these

planets moving into em Capricorn because they're
happening all at once. So 12, 14, 15, 16, culminating

on the 18th with the new moon in Capricorn.
We have Venus in Capricorn first, that's already

there as of the recording of this podcast. Rationing
emotional self-care in relation to. Sun in

Capricorn on the 14th, focusing on taking care
of, right? And these are meant to be filled

in with the meanings of the house. that holds
Capricorn in your birth chart. I show you how

to do all of that in the 2026 Sidereal Astrology
Guide. If you're thinking about getting the

guide or if you already have the guide, come
to the Div for Lib Astro Meetup every second

Wednesday of the month. I will hold your hand
and help you make good use of the guide and

help you apply this stuff personally to your
chart. Okay, then on the 15th, we have Mars

and Capricorn. working with what's available
to control. Mercury in Capricorn on the 16th,

taking responsibility for being heard. And finally,
of course, at the new moon in Capricorn on

the 18th of January, we have planting seeds
of resourcefulness to have enough. You should

hear in each of those interpretations or fill
in the blanks as I call them in the guide,

you should hear themes emerging. which are about
resourcefulness, rationing, caretaking, responsibility,

and control. These are all themes of Capricorn.
Again, if you have the 2026 Ideal Astrology

Guide, you can see on this page right here,
I have a page for each of the signs. And for

Capricorn, the name is the caretaker. The ideal
of Capricorn is to have enough. Capricorn for

me is a lot about rationing. It is holding this
common theme of earth signs, which is about

resourcefulness, recognizing the value of what
you already have in your possession or the

value of what already is, and figuring out
how to make the best use of that. Each of the

three earth signs, Capricorn, Virgo, and Taurus,
They use a different task for using the tool

of earth. So for Capricorn, we have the tool
of earth is realism. Again, realism is all

about soberly assessing and accepting the way
that things are. Taurus is social realism.

Sidereal Taurus as a sign, and in different
lip signs are experiences, right? As a sign,

Taurus is the social resourcefulness. It is
the connector. It's talking about our network

and the people we are in community with. It
is talking about belonging. Taurus also, again,

realism. Taurus is about accepting the realities
of capitalism, white supremacy, and patriarchy

as real social structures that are determining
your proximity to death, your access to the

resources that you need for survival, particularly
the social resources that you need for survival.

Virgo is the task of mutable, so this is going
to be more about how do I know what I know.

Virgo takes things at face value, it assesses
things based on the qualities that can be measured,

calculated, and quantified. Virgo wants to
be able to trust that things and people are

what they appear to be. But we are under this
Capricorn time, and as I talked about a little

bit ago, we made a similar transition. So you
can think about in your own life, go back...

to January, February, March 2020. That was a
moment where the excitement and the fire and

the eagerness to... Get our candidate elected
for the 2020 presidential election was kind

of the collective tone, right? And as the planet
started to shift over into Capricorn beginning

January 23rd, which was the day that Wuhan
shut down due to the SARS coronavirus two pandemic,

Kobe and Gigi died in a horrific sudden uh helicopter
accident. A sober hush kind of fell over us.

And the seriousness of what we were about to
embark upon was made very, very real to us.

And as we got further into March, April, and
May, and Mars and Jupiter also came through

Capricorn, resourcefulness became a really
big thing because now there were shelter-in-place

orders and you could only buy certain, a number
of frozen goods and canned goods or toilet

paper at the store. and people were hoarding
and rationing. There were not enough ventilators,

there was not enough respirators, there were
not enough hospital beds, were not enough ambulances,

there were not enough doctors, there were not
enough nurses. And so that moment was so much

about rationing and figuring out what is it
that we do have and how do we use it. Anyone

who is in America and is paying attention can
see how we are in a similar type of energy.

where all of the excitement of coming into 2026,
rather, has pretty quickly been muted and

hushed by the sobriety of ICE murdering Renee
Good. And it is brought to the fore the seriousness

of what we are dealing with. And people are
trying to figure out what is it that we have

and how can we use it to protect ourselves in
this moment? Part of the coping strategy of

Capricorn in Divination for Liberation Sidereal
Astrology is repression and suppression. And

I want to present this coping strategy without
judgment. I know those terms are loaded and

can bring up judgment inside of you when you
hear them, but I want you to understand suppression

as a necessary skill for caretaking. Because
caretaking really is the capacity to silence

or turn the volume down on your own body and
bodily functions, on your own needs, on your

own emotions, so that you can hear and sense
and feel the needs of other people. What was

so spectacular about 2020 is we were able to
see how necessity created a resourcefulness

that we had not experienced in our lifetime
before. We got checks, we got expanded access

to Medicaid funded by the federal government.
The federal government gave money to the state.

for them to expand their Medicaid programs.
Now, some states were so racist and evil that

they chose not to take that money. And you
were able to get the Medicaid benefits in as

long as the government was providing that extra
money. You didn't even have to reapply uh for

the benefits. They just rolled over until they
expired, right? This also gave us expanded

unemployment benefits. This gave us... a moratorium
on evictions in some way. And we were able

to see like, oh, there actually is enough for
everybody. So many of the policies that were

put in place during 2020, the first early days
of the pandemic, during the shelter in place

orders and what some people have called lockdowns.
So many of those policies were actually democratic

socialist policies that we had been told We're
against American values. It's against American

values to give a moratorium on evictions. It's
against American values to help provide healthcare

for everyone. And you can see even in this moment,
we are at a similar moment where we are needing

our collective resourcefulness to meet the moment.
A lot of times when we are under a Capricorn

sky, I like to ask, what is it that you feel
like you have? you don't have enough of that

you need more of. And this moment is requiring
you to ration or be resourceful about. Sometimes

it's asking you, what is it that you feel like
you have an unlimited supply of and you learn

that you actually don't have an unlimited supply
of? And how do you use the skill of resourcefulness

in order to make the best use of what you have?
If I've ever read your chart and I told you

that you did not have any earth in your birth
chart, This is your moment to catch Earth.

These transits are bringing the opportunity
for you to have the experience of the signed

Capricorn, even though it was not present in
your birth chart when you were born. And part

of having the experience of the signed Capricorn
is being able to see the worth and value and

what you already possess, rather than feeling
like you need to start from scratch and build

from the ground up. What is it that you already
have in your possession that is valuable? whether

that is a skill, whether that is the stuff in
your pantry, in your kitchen. mean, right now

in Minneapolis, they are truly under attack.
People cannot go to schools, people cannot

go to the grocery store, people cannot go to
work. And so they're having to use the resource

of each other and the tools that they already
have on their disposal in order to get people

the groceries that they need, uh get people
the care that they need. When we have Capricorn,

it truly is a time of caring for each other.
And there is a part of me personally that looks

back on 2020 with some type of longing and
some type of yearning and optimism for the

possibility of what could be. That when it really
got down to it, we were able to figure out

how to make it work. We were able to figure
out how to keep people in their homes, how

to get people access to the healthcare they
need. We gave people cash, money, dollars in

their bank accounts. so that they could have
what they needed. And so Capricorn is really

here to teach us that actually we already have
enough. The resourcefulness that we are seeking

is in the abundance that we already possess.
And remember, over here, abundance is shared

enoughness. Everything else is theft and hoarding.
You cannot be in personal possession of abundance

because that means you are hoarding or you stole
it from somebody. Right? So all of this idea

that you can manifest abundance for yourself,
no, you can't because the first thing you're

going to do when you get that abundance is
you are going to try to protect other people

from getting it. And look, I understand we're
all living in capitalism. And so when you get

your piece of freedom, when you get your piece
of stability, when you get your piece of security,

you want to protect it and you want to hold
it down. But understand that that's not abundance

because in that scenario, The security and stability
that you have acquired for yourself, the freedom

that you have been blessed with or lucky enough
to get, is always in danger of being taken

away from you or ripped out from under you because
the structures that put you in depravity, the

structures that made it so that you did not
have enough, are still in place. There can

be no real abundance which has shared enoughness
until the structures that are depriving us

of enoughness are removed. In the meantime,
I'm no hater, get your freedom. Get your coin,

get that salary, improve your living situation,
but remember that that is not abundance. This

moment that we are shifting into is the moment
that I'm recording this, is what is today,

Tuesday, January 13th, only Venus has crossed
over into Capricorn and there's still sun,

Mercury and Mars in Sagittarius. And so what
is happening is essentially that we're going

from a Jupiter ruled sky, which I've talked
about in previous episodes, to a Saturn ruled

sky. And this is pretty significant because
in 2020, Saturn was in Capricorn and Saturn

entered Capricorn pretty much the day that Wuhan
shut down. So it was a pretty em dramatic

moment marking the ingress of Saturn into Capricorn.
You can go to thepeoplesoracle.com right now.

oh and search Saturn and Capricorn and see the
post that I had written sometime in like 2019,

talking about Saturn and Capricorn and how much
I feel like spirit led me to talk about death.

And of course, death is what Saturn represents.
It represents the limits of the physical body

and the limits of the mind or perception. And
in both of those things are embodied with death.

Let me take a minute real quick to talk about
Saturn. I offer a Saturn return reading, and

when I talk about Saturn, I talk about Saturn
as three things primarily. I talk about Saturn

as death. I talk about Saturn as reality. And
I talk about Saturn as sanity. So if the sky

is dominated by Saturn because everything is
moving into Capricorn, these are three themes

that become very important and prominent in
our lives. Death, we're already seeing that,

right? Sanity and reality. Death for me is
twofold, it's physical and social. Physical

is the loss of your body, it's the loss of consciousness,
it's the absence of your spirit and your soul

from your physical body. Right? But there's
also social death. And social death is to cease

to exist in the minds of the collective. And
we see social death as a weapon used in capitalism,

whiteness, and patriarchy all the time. Social
death often precipitates physical death. To

murder the lived reality and truth of a group
of people in the collective is social death.

Social death is to not be considered when policy
is being made. Social death is to not have

your well-being taken into consideration with
the collective. It's to be excluded. Many disabled

people and chronically ill people, as well as
those people who were disabled by COVID during

the first wave, have been subject to persistent
social death. There has been no accommodation

made for them to participate in society. So
they've been functionally made invisible. There

has been no remembrance of the suffering and
experiences of those who caught COVID in that

first wave and happened to survive it and live
with the lifelong disability and scars from

that illness. We have socially murdered the
people who actually died from COVID. Because

there is in no way do we recognize and remember
what happened to them through policy, through

ritual, and through memory and witness. Speaking
of which, total side note. I haven't said anything

about this because I've just been so busy, but
I'm going to post about it tomorrow. uh Sunday,

the 25th of January, I believe that's the date.
2026 forecast, themes for 2026, memory and

witness privacy and surveillance. Write it down.
You could actually go to my booking site right

now. Under divination, you should be able to
find group events and you'll be able to register

for that, but I'll share the link another time.
Anyways, so that's Saturn as death and physical

death. Death for me is the socially determined
consequence of existence. Yeah, everybody's

gonna die. But our proximity to death is socially
determined, and it is socially determined by

your race. It is socially determined by your
gender. It is socially determined by your class.

And those are three things that you actually
don't get to choose.

Right? the socially determined consequence of
existing. The consequence of being born is

that you die. It's literally only one exit door.
Everybody goes through it. When you die and

how you die, this is socially determined. I
used to, and this is like a nuance I'll hold,

right? I feel like when it's your time to go,
you're going to go. But I also feel like how

you go is socially determined, right? And I
hold that contradiction of understanding spiritual

contracts and, you know, all of the spiritual
things about death and existence that are beyond

the material plane and beyond this reality,
like I can hold space for that, but also understand

that death is not dealt equally or fairly.
And many people are... forced to be in closer

proximity to death because of their perceived
gender, race or class. Okay, then we have

reality, right? And reality and sanity as themes
of Saturn go together for me. Sanity is to

ignore what we have collectively agreed to ignore
and to pay attention to what we have collectively

agreed to pay attention to. As soon as you start
paying attention to something that we have

collectively agreed to ignore, what does that
make you?

As soon as you ignore something that we have
collectively agreed to pay attention to, what

does that make you? We got a whole DSM full
of it. Right? Sanity is a social construct

and the most violent of sanity as a social
construct has to do with, and I always hold

space for trans people because this is, their
experience is the way that we can most readily

see so many concepts that I talk about manifesting.

Because collectively, we have agreed that trans-ness
does not exist, it's not real. That's the collective

consensus. That's what you voted for when you
voted for Trump.

We've collectively agreed that transness is
not real. And so for a trans person to honor

their actual experience of themselves in this
society, it puts their sanity in question.

And there are so many people and groups whose
experiences have placed them at the margins

of sanity.

Being female. is still often something that
places us at the margins of sanity. When you

go to your healthcare provider and rather than
taking your experiences and symptoms seriously,

and they tell you it's just anxiety and you
need to exercise so you can lose weight, what

he's saying is that your pain isn't real. The
subjective experience that you're having inside

of your body cannot be witnessed by me. And
so you're paying attention to something that

does not exist or something that the healthcare
provider is choosing to ignore. And what does

that make you? When you are a chronically ill
person who is struggling to get a diagnosis

for your symptoms, and just because the test
that they have cannot measure what's actually

going on in your body, what does that make you?

When you are being oppressed to the point where
your housing is insecure, you cannot sleep

if you're tired because you will lose your job.
where your healthcare is tied to labor that

you don't get to determine the value of.

And now you're sad. You wanna sleep all day?
You don't have the energy to do anything. Oh,

now they go to the DSM, you're depressed. If
you cannot continue to perform and show up

in capitalism to secure your housing, your food
and your money, what does that make you?

Sanity is a social construct and nothing makes
that more clear. than when we have transits

through Capricorn. This is a pretty precarious
and sensitive moment. Because Saturn is in

Pisces. And remember Saturn in Pisces says connecting
the dots that shape reality. Why are we saying

reality? Because Saturn represents reality.
And so as we get towards this new moon and

all of the... The sky is lining up in Capricorn.
It's all answering to Saturn and Pisces. For

the first time, really. Since Saturn has entered
Pisces, this is the first time we'll have Capricorn

transits. So, 30 years ago, we would have had
Capricorn transits during Saturn and Pisces.

But for many of us, we weren't old enough to
really remember. but the backdrop of the sky

is a bit different now. Saturn in Pisces is
really reminding us, or rather offering us

the opportunity to see that what we have determined
to be real, what we have determined to be reality,

what we have determined to qualify as sane is
ignoring other elements, experiences, and facets

of reality. Because those facets of reality
are not explicit, they're implied. When we

connect the dots that shape reality, means that
we are listening in the silence. It means that

we hear the words that are being told to us.
We hear the narration. We see the pictures.

We watch the video. We hear the narrative. We
hear the chatter.

But Pisces is saying that. Something's not adding
up here. There are some elements that are missing,

that are not being addressed or acknowledged.

that would reveal a reality to me other than
the one that I'm being fed. That's why this

time is full of suspicion. I call this moment
of this new moon sober suspicion. A white

woman being shot in the face, point blank, three
times after being called an effing female dog

for everyone to see.

We have two choices. We can see this as a dot
amongst other dots that are begging to be connected.

to reveal a reality we have not perceived before.

or We can fall back on our indoctrination,
whatever that may be. Whatever we have been

taught, whatever propaganda we have been fed,
usually that propaganda is going to be something

about personal responsibility and compliance.
Usually that propaganda is going to be about

which groups of people deserve to die and what
behaviors make them deserving of death.

Propaganda is so sneaky and insidious because
it will have you defending a murderer.

it will have you trying to figure out how you
could prevent yourself from being Renee Good

as if Renee Good's fate was because of who she
was and what she did. And so you say, okay,

that's never gonna happen to me because I'm
not like Renee Good. I'm not, insert this

gender. insert this race, I would never say
these things. I would never be in this place.

I would never behave in that way. And all of
this makes you feel powerful. It makes you

feel like, who could have been me, but you know
what? That would never be me because I'm not

X, Y, Z. That is you engaging in social murder.

By centering someone's identity, by centering
someone's so-called behavior, by positioning

this as a narrative of choice, as in what are
the different choices that Renee Good could

have made. in order to have avoided a heinous
murder. That makes you feel powerful and in

control. but that's not gonna save you. Like
you should know that by now because remember

in 2020 when George Floyd was murdered, a lot
of people thought that like, oh, good thing

I'm not black. Good thing I'm not poor. Good
thing I'm not a black man. Good thing I don't

go to liquor stores. Good thing I do what the
police tell me I should do when they accost

me and put their knee on my neck. Good thing
I'm a good person. I'm a good person, so that

would never happen to me. Come on, man. Come
on, Like you know goodness won't save you.

Goodness didn't even save you from your daddy
not coming to pick you up when he promised

he would. Like stop playing in my face.

Goodness didn't save you from your mother emotionally
neglecting you. You got good grades and everything,

didn't you? and your mama still talked to you
crazy and slapped you upside your head. Huh.

What makes you think goodness is going to save
you from being murdered by the state?

Doesn't matter if you're a good person, you
could be a bad person or you could be a good

person. The state does not care. Planting seeds
of resourcefulness to have enough. I'm gonna

say this and then I'm gonna pull some cards.

Capricorn is a tough energy because it requires
sobriety. Whenever I see someone's birth chart

and they have Capricorn going on, the first
question I have is who was under the influence

emotionally of a substance or behavior such
that you had to be sober?

For me, all addiction is emotional and all sobriety
is emotional. A lot of people are doing dry

January right now. And what people don't understand
is that sobriety might begin with a change

in your lifestyle choice, but in order to sustain
sobriety, it actually has to be an emotional

shift. Because uh sobriety is about facing the
reality of your emotions. It's about facing

the emotional reality that you occupy. Because
all substances, all behaviors where we indulge

and deal with addiction, it is to fabricate
an emotional reality other than the one that

we're actually occupying. And see how quickly
people want to get under the influence? They

want to fabricate an emotional reality other
than the one that we're occupying. What's the

emotional reality that we're actually occupying
and why does it require to you to be so sober

right now? You can see it's too much. You don't
wanna watch the news. You don't wanna scroll

on social media. You don't wanna see the video.
I've avoided the video. I'm only talking about

hearsay and secondhand accounts, because I'm
not watching that. I do not wanna see it, but

also because I wanna remain sober. I don't have
to see it to understand the reality of what

happened. But I'm saying all of this to say,
the threat of death, violence, and harm,

feels so unpredictable and certain for some
groups of people. that they don't have a choice

but to be sober. Or they decide to escape the
reality by indulging. I've talked about this

before, but I want to say it here on the podcast.
The revolution requires you to be sober. And

you should know that this is true because every
single direction you turn, they want you to

be under the influence and they want you to
be addicted. The never ending timeline on Instagram,

remember, used to be able to get to the end.
You've seen all the posts, you're updated now.

The never ending FYP on TikTok, they want you
to be addicted. They want you, there is no

enough, right? We're planting seeds of resourcefulness
to have enough. There is no enough. Sports

betting and gambling. You can gamble and bet
on anything with all of these platforms now.

They want you to be under the influence because
they know that the revolution requires sobriety.

The revolution requires you to actually feel
in the moment the feelings that are arising

based on what's happening in the moment. They
don't want you in the moment. You don't want

to be in the moment either.

because it's too much. It's too overwhelming
and you feel powerless to do anything about

it. And guess what? There may not be any actual
thing that you can do about it in this moment,

but you're never going to find out what your
calling is and what you can do unless you're

sober. You have to move through the life cycle.
of the feelings that come up when you bear

witness to other people's suffering. When you
imagine your own proximity to that suffering,

when you put yourself in Renee Good's shoes
and see how easily that could have been you,

you gotta be sober and you gotta feel the grief
and you gotta feel the rage and you gotta feel

the sadness and you gotta feel the frustration,
the powerlessness, the hopelessness. Those

are not static states that you're going to be
in forever. but it's very easy to believe that

those are states that you have to get yourself
out of. No, you just need to be in them. You

need to feel all of those things so you can
get to the good stuff. Because once you go

down the path of numbing to ignore and disregard
those feelings, that's when the cycle of addiction

and indulgence begins. That's when it begins.
You take one emotion off the table, They're

all connected, they're all off the table now.
You take hopelessness off the table and you

will have no hope. You don't wanna feel powerlessness,
you will never ever have power. You don't want

to feel grief, there's no joy or love for you
to have.

You don't want to feel rage, there's no contentment
accessible to you. You don't want to cry, you

won't laugh. You need all of those things. So
at this new moon... This is about being sober.

think that's the perfect place for me to pause
and pull some cards.

Let's see what these cards, what wisdom the
Tarot has to offer us today. This is a huge

turning point in the year. We're going to have
a few more over the next couple of months,

but this is the first one. Certainly by the
time we get past this new moon on the 18th,

it's very clear that we are already in new territory.
So let's see here. We've got the Five of Cups.

This is a pretty sad looking card and... It's
easy to see one of these cards in the tarot

and feel some type of way about it. I know I
do. I'm good. I'm good, y'all. It's easy to

see this card and to feel some type of way about
it. And you should. I I literally just spoke

about how once you put one emotion off limits
as a place that you won't go, it's connected

to all of the other emotions. And so if you
put that off limits, then you put a whole bunch

of other emotions off limits as well. The Five
of Cups is a card to be with your grief and

your sad feelings. It reflects back to us the
gravity and emotional heaviness of this moment.

And I think it's telling us to not be so quick
to escape the feelings of grief and fear and

paranoia that we have. Sometimes you just gotta
sit and look at what all went wrong. Sometimes

you just have to sit and be with what all feels
terrible. This is really, really, really, really

hard for us to do culturally. American culture,
Western culture has no ritual, has no story,

has no space for grief and sadness. The only
grief and sadness we have space for is the

type of grief and sadness that perpetuates myths
and lies about who we are as America. We celebrate

our Memorial Day because we have to honor all
of the veterans who have died fighting for

our freedom. What freedom? I can't even go to
bed when I'm tired because then how am I going

to eat? How am I going to have a roof over my
head? I'm gonna lose my job. You miss one day

of work, it's... Over for you what freedom?
Freedom for me means you can go to sleep when

you're tired and you won't starve. You won't
die. You won't be harmed. You won't lose your

job. You won't lose your house. You won't lose
your health care. Nobody is free in America's

because nobody can go to sleep when they're
tired. Okay. Trump can't even go to sleep when

they're when he's tired. That man is being hauled
around like weekend at Bernie's. He's a walking

corpse. Being carted around, showed AI slop,
being fed the most ridiculous stuff. He falling

asleep at his desk on camera. He ain't free
either, okay? Don't let these white people

fool you. Don't let that man fool you. He's
not free either. If he was free from his own

demons, he would be somewhere spending time
with his son and his grandchild and resting.

in his last days if he were free. He's not free,
okay? Don't envy these folks who been working

since they were six years old in Hollywood.
They not free either. Don't envy the billionaires.

They're not free. They are held hostage by their
own greed.

They out here fighting the same demons of neglect
and abandonment by their parents just like

you. They are not free. So don't be out here
envying someone else's perceived joy. Be with

your own grief so you could actually participate
in the work of liberation. This Five of Cups

is just speaking so loudly to me because I have
really strong feelings. about the function

of emotional denial and the role of not having
socially sanctioned rituals for dealing with

difficult emotions. The DSM literally exists
to qualify and quantify and pathologize all

of the ways that this Capitalism, whiteness
and patriarchy is oppressing you and making

it difficult for you to show up in these systems.
The DSM is literally saying, hey, you're not

repressing your emotions well enough. You're
not hiding your grief well enough. You're not

stomaching the oppression and humiliation and
degradation of capitalism well enough. Why

aren't you coping with patriarchy well enough?
What's your problem? Why are you so anxious?

Why didn't you just accept your abuse being
ignored by your mother? What do you mean you

split off from yourself after your mother harmed
you? What do you mean? What do you mean you

can't function because you were abandoned and
neglected and F.A. What do you mean? What's

your problem? The DSM is pathologizing your
inability to successfully ignore the ways that

you are being oppressed and harmed by capitalism,
white supremacy and patriarchy. Six of swords.

and fool, man, yo, if you been riding with
me on the Divination for Liberation podcast

since 2024, because see the publicly available
episodes just started last year, but I've really

been doing this podcast for going on two years
now. If you are OG and you've been rolling

with me, you know that this card has been following
us. It has shown up in so many of the readings

I've done on this podcast. This full card started
showing up during Pisces and Virgo eclipses

in 2024. had a Pisces stellium, I believe. And
it started showing up around this idea of

letting go of our existing assumptions. And
of course the fool would come back because

Saturn is in Pisces now. I just talked about
Saturn being in Pisces and it ruling the sky.

And so this card in a lot of ways I associate
with Pisces now just because it very consistently

comes up in these tarot readings when there's
some serious Pisces stuff going on in the sky.

I can't make this up. The record is the record,
okay? I'm just pulling the cards. Y'all saw

me shuffle. We've got the six of swords here.
And this Six of Swords is a card that speaks

about healing from triggers, to be honest, right?
It speaks about having distance and perspective

that allows us to not be activated in ways that
we were previously activated. But it's so clear

to me that the Five of Cups, the Five of Cups
to the Six of Swords, is this transition that's

saying in order to get to the place where you
have some type of emotional mastery, you actually

have to be in the feelings and feel the feelings.
Mastery over emotions and grief does not look

like ignoring it or getting over it. Right?
Mastery over emotions or something like grief

means that you have come face to face with grief.
You've communed with grief. You've dined with

grief. You've bathed in the water of grief.
You've soaked in the tears of grief, okay?

You are familiar with grief and you have gone
to the places that grief has taken with you.

You have been intimate with grief. There can
be no mastery over something that you avoid.

There can be no mastery over something that
you won't even feel. You have not mastered

anger, if that's the only feeling that you know
how to feel. If you're using that to avoid

other feelings. This Six of Swords, I mean,
so much about sobriety is in this Six of Swords.

It's really being...

I don't wanna say not, how do I wanna put that?
I wanna say. recognizing the influence of

our emotions without being under the influence
of our emotions. But we really can only get

there through feeling. because otherwise it's
just disassociation and repression. I wanna

make a clarification to coping strategy of sidereal
Capricorn, repression and suppression. Repression

is the unconscious disregard of some aspect
of ourselves or our experience. Suppression

is the conscious disregard or ignoring of something.
Repression often comes because we are subject

to the disregard of others. That which has no
witness cannot come into our awareness. This

is why for me, I often understand anxiety as
emotions we've experienced but have not had

a witness for. So they lay in this unnamed
nebulous state gnawing at us, trying to get

our attention. So we well-butrin' it away, we
Xanax it away. SSRI in a way, because we have

to to function in capitalism. We have to, right?
You gotta put the anxiety ickies at bay. But

anxiety really is about...

How do I bring into awareness all of these feelings
and emotional experiences that I didn't have

a witness for? Because the people in my life
did not have the capacity to hold space for

the full range of their own emotions as a human.
So they definitely couldn't hold space for

the full range of my emotions as a human. Really
interesting combination of cards here. And

I think it's speaking to the power of sobriety.
The beginning of sobriety hurts.

The beginning of sobriety requires you to bring
online. sensations and emotions, you've been

using substances, behaviors, or even other emotions
to escape.

Somebody said I'm raw doggin life over here,
no meds. Salute to you, man. Salute to you,

cause I don't even know how you doing it. I'm
all for taking what you need. I truly, truly

am, but I understand that sometimes those medicines
are harmful to people. Anyways, I really feel

like these cards are repeating a lot of what
I've already spoken about, about the function

of sobriety in this moment and... I want to
just bring back up, especially because we got

this fool card here over the next weeks and
really through the end of March. Suspicion

is going to be a mindset and emotion that collectively...
steadily increases. The role and function of

suspicion, it's an emotion that arises in the
face of uncertainty. The function of suspicion

is to protect you from being lied to. In order
to navigate this time, we need this full experience

of checking our assumptions in our existing
belief systems. Because often in the face of

uncertainty and contradiction, we fill in the
blanks and we deal with the feeling of suspicion.

with indoctrination and the assumptions and
beliefs we already possess. We close ourself

off to new information that's probably telling
us a new story. If you hear me kind of repeating

some things that I've talked about, it's because
some things in the sky are still the same.

Jupiter is still in Gemini and Saturn is still
in Pisces. And so we're still in this time

where we are being given new information that
we have the opportunity to integrate into a

new belief system. But... we gotta actually
acknowledge the belief systems that we already

have. And part of what Saturn is here to help
us do is to understand that some of the things

that you have taken for fact at face value as
just the way it is, as quote reality, is actually

a belief system you've been fed and taught.
And in order to actually bring about any change

in this life and in this world, you have to
recognize that it's a belief system that you

can revoke your belief from. If you thought
it was safe being white, Understand that is

indoctrination and propaganda that has been
made in order to manufacture consent for murdering

black people.

if you thought that the amount of money that
you made at your job. or the neighborhood that

you lived in, and the demographic of people
that you do or don't live around was going

to protect you and keep you safe, that's a belief
system, it's indoctrination that was used to

manufacture consent for harming non-white people.
for harming poor people, for harming trans

people, for harming children. We gotta sober
up people. And it's very, very hard. Like I

said, the beginning of sobriety is painful because
you've invested so much in not feeling certain

feelings that you don't even have practice feeling
those feelings. You've invested so much in

avoiding powerlessness by feeding yourselves
and consuming narratives that makes you feel

in control of whether or not you are oppressed
by the state. Means that when you actually

feel powerlessness, the first thing that you
want to do is self-medicate with some more

propaganda.

Thank you for tuning into the Divination for
Liberation podcast. I am Dayna Lynn Nuckolls.

I won't repeat too much here today, but y'all
know what time it is when we get to the end

of this podcast. Put your mask on. Folks are
still getting taken down by these really terrible

colds. The flu is still running rampant and
the Northeast is getting hit pretty hard by

COVID right now. Connecticut, Rhode Island,
New York. All of those spaces up there are

getting hit pretty hard. And I said on this
podcast a few months ago that I expected that

the Midwest and Northeast would be getting hit
hardest by COVID over the winter because they

were spared during the surge that happened over
the late summer and fall. like California,

Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Florida got hit really
hard in the late summer and fall and... They

are not really being hit as hard by COVID right
now, but the Northeast and Midwest is. So follow

Dr. Mike Horger. I always share his stuff. He
is working really hard to keep track of wastewater

and using that data to figure out where COVID
is in transmission and at what rate. And

that's... That's for today. I'll see you in
a couple of weeks at the full moon in Cancer.

In the meantime, in between time, take care
of yourself and your loved ones. Bye.
